It’s been my favorite karaoke song for a long time. I absolutely murder this song when I sing it. I have so much respect for the guys in Train who wrote what is a modern masterpiece.

“Tell me…did you sail across the sun?”

So what, you might wonder, does Train and Drops of Jupiter have to do with my Costa Rica diaries?

Well, more than you might think.

I came downstairs this morning for breakfast and it was playing. Someone was on my mind. “She acts like summer and walks like rain…” You know the lyric.

I sang it. Out loud. At 7 AM. Because I’m fucking batshit crazy. And I can get away with it.

Or am I not?

I’ve got C in my life and as I write now I am listening to beautifully crashing waves downstairs. The sounds are gorgeous, but She is weighing heavily on my mind. As much as I love it here, it is a very hard place to be alone and be missing someone.

“Did you make it to the Milky Way…?” See the lights are faded? That heaven is overrated…?”

Tell me. Did I fall for a shooting star?
