About last night…

So in a previous post I mentioned Lisa, my seat mate on the flight down, and how she and her husband are moving here. Last night Lisa invited me out with a group of ex pats including her son and it was brilliant. Everyone was so chill and we laughed at the extraordinarily self-absorbed singer who happened to be performing. It was like a bad SNL skit.

Extraordinarily chill. This is my observation of life in Costa Rica. I still haven’t seen a monkey and I’m a little bit pissed off, but I know that will change. That’s neither here nor there.

It’s all so chill that I find myself at the moment on Air bnb looking for a condo for the month. Maybe longer, who knows. The happiness I felt from the aforementioned ex pats was inspiring, to say the least. It was actually a little bit of a tough day, personal-wise and I needed it.

There is a point to this brief column and it is simply this: find your place and embrace it wholeheartedly. Life is short. I would highly recommend checking out Costa Rica in such a pursuit.
