The Pacific Ocean is my home. I live on the Atlantic but I’m happiest here on the Pacific. My mum took me to the beach in Newport because we had no money to do anything else back in the day. I think my gregarious nature came from those mornings with Mum. Being poor but rich. She would buy me a pack of Fruit Stripe gum and I’d walk around the beach handing it out. Anyway. I’m here on the beach with mes locos amigos and as we laugh I think of her. With gratitude. For introducing me to this beautiful ocean which, thanks to her, continues to rescue me.

Las Catalinas I’m back in Las Catalinas. I love it here. I’m tired of running around and I’ve found a place where I really feel at home. Truly. I love Costa Rica. It’s taken me a minute and we’ve had a few ups and downs, but the learning curve is getting easier. It’s not easy being so alone and so far from home. I posted this particular video because it is one of my favorite musical collaborations of all time (God bless you Freddie and God bless you Mme Caballe). Every sound and word speaks for itself.
